The star party prior to the New Moon is the Primary star party, but  in the event of inclement weather, the next Saturday will automatically be a replacement star party (no special announcement will be made, except a newsletter reminder each month).

Map and Directions to Star-Party Viewing Location

Three Mountain Retreat is at the intersection of Highway 219 and 182, about 40 miles west of Waco, about 90 miles southwest of Dallas/Forth Worth, and about 90 miles northwest of Austin.

From Waco: Take Hwy 6 North to Clifton. Once in Clifton, Turn left on Hwy 219 (at Stoplight). Drive 6-7 miles  on 219. Turn left at Hwy 182 at Turnersville intersection. Drive 1 mile on 182. Three Mountain Retreat will be on your left.

From TempleFrom I-35. Take 36 West past Gatesville to
FM 182. Turn Right  on 182 to Turnersville, continue 10 miles past Turnersville on 182 to Three Mountain Retreat Entrance on Right. 

The observing location at Three Mountain Retreat is located in the pasture area adjacent to the little pink house to the right of the entrance road. Watch for signs. Please try to arrive prior to darkness.
